1) What are your first impressions of this recruit (speed, strength, character, leadership, grades, etc)?

size and the fact we were in on a four star lineman

2) Rank his importance to the Huskers 1-10 (10 the most important).

9-We need lineman bad. There were better ones out there, but this will do fine.

3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity?

may have to, if not in two years.

4) Who does this player most remind you of?

5) Where do you see this player in 2009?

Starting Guard or Right Tackle positions for the Huskers for the national champs

He is adept at pulls and traps and blocks the same way away from the ball as when the play is ran behind him. He is an outstanding all-around prospect who should blossom working with Callahan and Wagner.

NOT a good tackle, a position that we recruited him for. It'd be better to stick his cousin and Brock out there and do with what we have. However, he's got great upside as an interior OL. He might be a bit overrated (on the reverse side, Craig is underrated) but he played in the Cali-Florida bowl AND the U.S. Army All American bowl, our only recruit to do both, so he's obviously doing something right. Needs to get them grades up, but Busch is working with him on that.

8. He'll need some work before he can contribute.

3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity?

Nah. I don't know if he redshirts, but he should to get ready for the college game.

4) Who does this player most remind you of?

A versatile O-Lineman.

5) Where do you see this player in 2009?

Probably starting on our OL if he redshirts.

He did not impress me at all at the army game. He was manhandled several times. If he improves, he could be a decent OL for us.

Yea. He was playing tackle and I don't think he has the quick step to play on the outside of the line. He is more of a guard.

Funny that the same day you ask this, HI posts an article stating that Rodney IS qualified.

He's probably going to end up redshirting with Roark right?
Just a gut feeling, Roark wont redshirt, but Picou will. I'm not sure Picou will ever really play at NU. There you go check that statement in about 3 years.

Why is that, you think Picou isn't very agile or smart enough to pick up the offense?

IMO, I think that it is both reasons that you list.

Well, O. Lineman are the real smart guys and have a lot to learn, so it makes sense. But who knows what kind of progress he will make.
