i assume he is 6'0 which is probably why he has been looked over at LB....Griffin was also 6'0 and I think he did okay at OLB for UCF

For what it's worth, here are the comparisons of Larry and Eugene Asante coming out of high school (per 247sports)

Eugene was named Northern Virginia Player of the Year.

That's JUCO Larry, he doesn't even have an entry on 247 out of high school and was unrated (but has a profile) on rivals. Seems like he blossomed at the JUCO, but was even more under the radar than Eugene out of high school.

Since today is the last day to sign an LOI, I am assuming he is waiting to sign until February. Any mention of this anywhere?

Was ecstatic about the offer. Said he has never been to a game here but he watched Nebraska all the time when his brother was here. He also was in attendance when we lost at Virginia Tech to Tyrod Taylor.

Has recent offers of North Carolina, Baylor, UCLA, Maryland and TCU. Tennessee, Duke, South Carolina and Louisville will probably offer soon.

Has already visited VT. Wants to visit Nebraska, TCU and UCLA.
