Selected to participate in the US Army All Star Game

Assessing the talent: A very nice 2 way player. Nice frame to put some good muscle on. He can be an explosive player, he also has a great mind for the game, things come quite natural for him. He made 80 tackles and 5 INT's playing safety, as well as catching 35 passes for 620 yards and 6 TD's and rushing for another 375 yards and 4 TD's on just 40 carries.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 20% He camped at USC last year. Nebraska is one of three offers. No doubt more to come.

He's gotten a ton more offers and a lot of attention. I beleive he still really likes Nebraska and NU will get a solid look.

Maybe our no.1 target for 2006 guys. He is a saftey and I think Db's will be the need for next years class. He should be a five star and all the big boys are after him already. We have a something in our favor already, he played HS football with Beau Davis and the 2 are good friends.

87 tackles, 5INTs and 3 sacks on defense as a junior. USC has now offered him, that will make it a little tougher to pull him in.

while i agree with you kramer that he would be a nice pick up, he won't be a five star player and he isnt our highest priority player at that position, much less our whole recruiting class. Taylor Mays is the obvious choice for head of the class at safety, and is as close to a sure fire recruit as there is in this class.

If he's 6' 2", 212 right now, I'd have to think he'll make a great OLB at the next level.

Think about it. If we can get him up to 230 lbs and running a 4.5. look the hell out.

The Huskers will get the first crack at him with an official visit on Sept. 2, he will then travel to Michigan the following week.

Yup, like willie said, he was a senior. So are Daniel Bullocks, Blake Tiedtke, Donald Defrand, Mike Stuntz, Tyler Fisher, and Joey Robison. Andrew Shanle from my understanding might be draft bound after this year as well. So needless to say, we are going to to be taking a huge blow in the backfield

Shanle is draft bound?

I didn't know special teams standouts who have never started were thought that highly of?

Unless he has a 'breakout' year, that is a pretty bold rumor.
