Old School Hip Hop/Rap

I hate the new stuff but it used to be friggin golden....any fans out there? What songs do you like?

One of my favorites...

It depends on what you mean by old school...if you mean 80's rap, I'm not really into it. But early to mid 90's, most definitely.

2 of my oldie favs that many may not know of.

Takin out you suckas and you don't know how I did it!

Baderfan, you've single handly put me into an old school hip hop binge this morning at work. Been listening to Pete Rock since I saw your thread. I'm sure you know the following guys, but just in case, here are a few more recent hip hop guys that I think still go back to the good old days.

Talib Kweli & Hi Tek

Here's an older track I've always loved. And yeah CactusBoy, that first album was the best by a good margin. LabCab was decent, too.

Check out RBL Posse. Early 90's west coast stuff. Real tight, it's gangster rap though.

RBL Posse songs: bounce to this, ruthless by law, G's by the 1, 2, 3's, serve on, bitches on the ding dong

Young Lay is also pretty sick.

Young Lay- ruthless adolescent, stickin' 2 da grind, erk & jerk
