On Any Given Saturday...

Guy Chamberlin

Heisman Trophy Winner
But I'm just not feeling it this week.

The offense is so non-prolific that the only thing left for them to do is surprise us. Facing a top 3 team in a game no one expects us to win might be the best situation for these guys.

It's actually the defense I'm worried about. I just don't think they've faced a quality opponent this year, and given up a lot of yards, if not points, to some pretty weak teams.

Again, big games are what coaching is all about. Hope to see strategy and focus on every side of the ball.

And remember, the only good thing about Nebraska being unranked is that we get to enjoy an upset.

I don't even remember when the last one was.

But this would be epic.

If you mean last time we beat a ranked team or higher ranked team think back to Oklahoma a few weeks.

If you're talking Vegas underdogs I don't know if we were a dog in that game or not.

I believe we're currently ranked above Oklahoma.

Missouri might have been favored at home, too. Can't remember.

I'm talking about something that will break our tie with Duke.

No. Even better than that. A genuine upset.

Long as I'm here.....what would you say was Nebraska's quality win this year?

I'm thinking we were an underdog according to the Vegas people, but yes, this upset would be huge.

According to the records I looked at: The last time a Nebraska team ranked lower than 10th defeated an opponent ranked higher than 10th -- Go back to 1977 when an unranked Nebraska team beat #4 Alabama at home

throughout the years, since we began our decline (after 2001), we have not had a real signature win, we have not beat a highly ranked team, we have had no major upset. however, we have been close countless times but some freak occurrence secures the loss for us, or gives the other team the chance to win, which they end up doing. well, this is our time, now is our turn, and UT will never know they had it coming.
