One loss teams - where Huskers stand in rankings

I used to remember the days when NU was the highest ranked team with one (or two) losses.

This week where we are kind of makes sense with one, maybe two, exceptions

Georgia lost to undefeated #4 Clemson (and beat LSU and SCar)

TAMU lost to undefeated #1 Alabama

LSU lost to one loss #7 Georgia

SCar lost to one loss #7 Georgia

Florida lost to undefeated #14 Miami

NW lost to undefeated #3 Tosu

Washington lost to undefeated #5 Stanford

Okie lite lost to 3-3 unranked West Virginie

NU lost to undefeated #13 UCLA

Shouldn't we be ahead of Okie Lite and closer to Florida?

 
I have been saying this for weeks. Seems like we have been getting the raw end of the deal for the last few years on this.

 
Eh, it is what it is. Should be ranked. Blowout Purdue and show a bit on D we should sneak back in tomorrow.

 
It would be nice if UCLA can continue to win. Our one loss was ugly, and that is what will be remembered. That said, we are still a 23-27 team in the nation.

It would help us out a lot if NW could get by the Vadgers today. They only have Minny and the Hawkeyes before facing us. If NW only has one loss when we beat them in three weeks it could boost us up four or five spots in the polls.

UGA will still be above us in the polls. They *might* even still be ranked above Mizzou this week. It'll be close. There's an 18 spot difference between UGA and Mizzou right now.

 
close win in Lincoln to Wyoming, who isn't a terrible team but is still Wyoming, doesn't help.

No, not when you get pummeled by UCLA and give up 10,000 yards in a half....if we beat Northwestern then we'll get the ranking we deserve. Your analysis only shows that Okie Lite is over-rated. I think Nebraska is one of those teams that gets as much respect as any and we don't need to whine, just prove it on the field and let the weekly rankings take care of themselves.
