One of the X factors.

Going into spring we are starting to get a glims at depth charts and position changes.

I feel that Keller is a crucial X factor this season. If he lives up to hype we will see what this offense can do. The O line as well. They will need to protect him. Taylor was a tough sob , how durable is Keller?

What do you all feel are the other X factors are??

The D-line could be an X-factor. We have some talented young players that will have to step up. This could be a huge factor in the play of the linebackers and D-back field.

Running back.

Will Lucky be able to pick up the blitz, will Glenn also. Will Glenn get over the injury bug? What about Wilson?

Will the new kids be ready to play

I agree. Will Luky step up this year and have a standout season? Can our backs stay healthy for the year?

The Wide Recievers,

Can Henry,Holt,Paul, and Brooks step up. If they can we will be awesome offensively. If they cannot, leaving Swift and Petersen to run routes then we will be average offensively. We have a QB that can stretch the field and keep the D honest BUT, we must have WR that can do the same

I absolutely agree with landon husker. There is no doubt Holt, Henry, Brooks, and Paul are more athletic, it just depends on how they developed. They are more explosive, bigger, and faster, and like he said we wont be as good as we could be if they had stepped up. I really think it starts with the lines. There is no doubt lucky and Glenn can run, the question is will they have anywhere to run. From year one to two was night and day in terms of running room for the backs and time for the quarterback. If the o-line can step it up another notch then we will be freakin great. The same on the other side of the ball. If our d-line can step it up another notch that will enable our speedy backers to roam around and make tackles, boost our secondary since they dont have to sit back there and cover for 7 seconds, and then we can just tee off with maybe a blitzing backer or saftey.

you have seemed to forget the most important

Keller is alot bigger then Zac, if he is even half a tough as Zac was he should be fine.

Tightend. If we can get ahold of a field stretching TE then "Katy bar the door!" :bonez

very simply, it all starts "up front", on BOTH sides of the ball, it always has, especially on great Husker teams from the past.

I'm going to have to go with our return game. It's been years since we have had a good return game and probably ever since Groce went to the NFL is when it took a big dropoff. Hopefully we have multiple touchdowns/big returns next year to help out our scoring and field position. Maybe Mendoza will be a playmaker for us as a returner.
