Oregon Ducks

Five-Star Recruit
I believe Oregon is the best team in country, great offense. Only way to beat them would be to score as often as possible and play 15 guys on defense. Would be an interesting game vs Boise St.

I'm not sold on Oregon. Championship teams don't give up as many points as they do.

Oregon is 2008 Oklahoma. Everybody falls in love with them because of their offense and their tempo. But if they end up having to play Alabama or Auburn? Good night.

I won't be sold on Oregon until they do it against a team that has an elite D, either. Everyone still remembers how the Pac-10 came out last year in the bowl games. That was a revealing, compadres.

Oregon is one of the best teams in the nation. The only chink in their armor is their pass defense. It's been exposed from time to time.

They will lose their bowl game, even if that is the MNC, because of their defense. Everyone is hypnotized by their offense without realizing that they gave up 32 points to a reeling USC.

I recall hearing that USC had the fourth-ranked offense at the time. In any event, they are now ranked 13th in total offense. That's no joke. The problem with USC is their atrocious D which makes the 2007 Nebraska D look like world beaters. Even so, USC has two losses (Stanford, Washington) by a combined 3 points; the only other loss was getting steam rolled by a quality Oregon squad.

Having said all that, I agree that the smart money says Oregon will fold like a lawn chair against a solid D. Fact is, the only Pac-10 team that has actually shown up in a major bowl game in recent history is USC. The other teams are choke artists.
