Their only loss came to an ISU team that gets a big upset once a year, on a Friday night the day after their school was stricken with tragedy.

I'll be pissed if its LSU v Bama part 2. I absolutely won't watch it. A team absolutely should win its conference. Alabama didn't even win its own division. And my big problem is how on earth do you KNOW that Bama is better? The conferences don't play against each other, so we have no way to compare really. Supposedly the computers say the big 12 is the best conference. So, how can the winner of the best conference not be in the championship game???

Yes, OSU lost to Iowa State. But it was a day of tragedy, and they missed a field goal that sure looked good on replay. And why look at just the loss? OSU wins were against much better competition.

The fact that we really don't know if OSU is better or Bama is better, would automatically make me vote for OSU because we already saw bama lose to LSU. We don't know what OSU would do.

GIVE THEM A SHOT!

 
Absolutely will not watch an alabama/lsu rematch. One week of hype for the first game was too much for me. Give OSU a shot

I wanted to reach through the TV and hit Saban in the face during his sit in before the SEC championship today. The guy is so incredibility disingenuous with everything he says and does. They lost their chance to play not taking care of LSU with basic special teams play and OSU is the best option in the system we have, being the next best conference champion after LSU. Perhaps more to the point though I think OSU has a better chance of beating LSU.

 
agreed. i got argued to death about this just this morning but bama does not deserve the shot. i wont watch it if its bama in the game. give me osu and i will watch excitedly. The mad hatter vs. the mad hatters former employer!

 
The only way I thought OSU had a chance was to blow out OU...so thought that would never happen...but they did...count me shocked and perhaps leaning OSU...Alabama was not even playing today.

 
Absolutely. It's a lot like the 2008 situation with OU, Texas, and Florida. Give OSU a chance.

 
NO TIDE! They already had their chance and they blew it. Okie Lite has a valid chance to be considered #2 team. I hope lots of voters change their minds.

Also, OSU is ranked 5th in the Harris poll too, which will definitely change.

They're .08 behind Alabama. In the Harris they're .12 points behind Alabama, in the coaches they're .11 points behind Alabama.

In the Harris they're .04 behind Stanford and coaches they're .03 behind Stanford. I feel almost certain they'll move ahead of Stanford. So that's .07 of the .08 they need. Alabama will gain 0 points.

As the numbers in that link show, when you actually look at who did what, OSU clearly has the best argument. The voters need to say no to a rematch. OSU won its conference, and Bama didn't even win its division.
