Right now, yes. I'm sure he can add some muscle and get up there, just don't think it looks like he's there now.

 
How big is the kid standing next to him?

Edit: Just looked him up - Taryn Chistion is listed at 6'2 - 190 lbs.

Based on the profile pics on all the recruiting sites the picture above looks like a REALLY slimmed down version. Are we sure this is the same kid?

 
He's listed at 6-7, 290 on his high school's roster. I'm going to guess that's inflated but that's what Rivals and Scout used.

I changed the OP to 266 lbs that ESPN shows, as that seems to be more accurate.

Just to be clear, I think he is still a good prospect. 247 and *cough* ESPN *cough, cough* have him highly rated even at the lower weight.

By the way, I just realized, Schmidt is from SD not NE, so he would be more like Frank Ragnow than Harrison Phillips (if he gets a late offer). However, as already mentioned, if he camps in Nebraska this summer, I see him leaving with an offer.

Close enough. A lot of SD kids grow up watching NE.

 
they really need to be careful, too long and he gets fed up and doesn't consider us like Phillips.

 
I hope as long as he understands that if he has a good camp he will get offered that he has the patience to wait and understand he isn't getting played by our coaches.

 
If the class was not so small, he would have an offer by now. Coaches want him in camp this summer. He has waited this long, so I believe he is a give me if he gets the offer.
