Assessing the talent: All the powerhouses love this kid who has been playing since he was a freshman. He has enormous strength with a 300 bench and 500 squat. Just a physical specimen who is agile enough to play Tight End.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 5% Seems like an East Coast kid who will stay there.

Took an unofficial visit with NU 4 star target A.J Wallace and his dad to this past weekends Penn St/Ohio St match up. Regardless if the weather was cold and damp, he said the trip was more then he expected and said the atmosphere blew him away.

He has cut his list down to 5 schools that will get his attention. Nebraska (10/28), Penn St, Florida St (11/26), Florida (1/10) and LSU (visit date yet not determined). Nebraska coach Phill Elmassian is currently recruiting Walton, and Coach E will have to put in extra over-time to land his services. Some of the top recruiters in the nation from those 4 other schools are on him, most notably Florida St's recruiting coordinator John Lilly who has been responsible for the majority of the 5 and 4 star talent that ends up in Tallahassee.

Nebraska is in desperate need for Offensive Lineman, specially guys who are starting left tackles like J.B Walton to help with the depth issues behind starting left tackle Cornelius Thomas. One of his strength is pass protection blocking and is finely tuning his run blocking technique this season. Walton has played both offensive and defensive tackle, so he is familiar with both roles.

Lackey head coach Scott Chadwick said Walton won't be making any decisions until he takes all of his visits and sits down to discuss what he likes about each team and what playing time he could get at each school.

Lackey is 3-2 on the season

Game Stats: 4 tackles and 2 tfl

Season Stats (3 games): 14 tackles and 5 tackles for a loss

Walton's stats are low, but he has only played in 3 games due to an ankle sprain.

He is down to 5 teams. Nebraska, LSU, Florida, Florida St and Penn St. This will come down to a Penn St vs Nebraska recruiting battle. Right now, i would say chances of getting him are 30%

Attended the Nebraska versus Oklahoma game. J.B. said it was an "awesome trip" and that he "enjoyed all of it."

He got an opportunity to meet with the coaches, and it looks as if Nebraska will let him choose what side of the ball he plays on. He has no other visit dates set at this time, but other schools he is considering are Florida State, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Florida.

No they wont, he'll play were they say so. It's great recruiting ploy

Narrowing down, NU trip was vital to his interest.
