OT Matt Slauson

Just wondering if anybody's got any info on Matt Slauson. What is this guy's story. Looks like he graduated in 2004, but still has four years of eligibility remaining. What's the word, y'all?

 
There's already a thread about him in 2006 recruiting. I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet, but I assume someone's got some info.

 
anyone know, was he ever highly recruited? what about CU? makes me wonder what is up with this guy??

He was going to sign with Oregon but his family moved to Colorado Springs and he ended up signing with the Air Force academy because his parents wanted him to be closer to home. He had offers from Nebraska, Oregon, Air Force, Oregon St, Oklahoma St, and was also getting interest from Arizona St, Washington, and Washington St

 
Guy wanted to be a fighter pilot but he's too damn big. He also would have had to lose weight to play on the AFA team, they have a weight restriction for all players. I think he would have had to lose about 40 lbs or something.

Apparently from what I've heard on the radio the guy is gonna come in ready to play and the coaches hope he can contribute immediately.

This guy was such a hush hush, because he was a transfer any transfers can't sign a letter of intent! So he wasn't a offical husker until he got on campus and reported for practice or signed up for classes! So you can see why the staff would want to keep it quiet!

Were these offers for this year or last year coming out of high school.

Some from 2004, some from this year. Some of the teams from 2004 did not know he was going to be back on the market so they never offered him this year. Other teams learned he was going up on the market and offered him.
