ESPN: 70

Assessing the talent: Recorded 46 tackles and 2 sacks as a junior. Just moved to the offensive side of the ball. One of the fastest rising offensive linemen in the West. From ESPN: Lewan is a tall defensive tackle prospect with the frame to keep adding bulk. Displays a good get-off and can be disruptive at times. At his height he is leverage disadvantaged in the trenches and needs to keep his pad level down. He is a physical kid, but often engages blockers too high. Will flash the ability to use his hands to separate and shed, but needs to be more consistent with the usage of his weapons. More

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 10% Cal also in the mix.

So if he just moved over to the O-line and is "one of the fastest rising O-line stars in the West," are we going after him as an OT or a DT? The entire write up in ESPN was as a DT, if we are going for him as an OT what is his potential there?

Rivals has him as an OT-prospect, judging from his height and the shakiness on Sirles I'd say he's wanted for O.
Yep.

ESPN has more:

Lewan's recruiting heating upStaying in Arizona, there isn't a hotter offensive line recruit in the West right now than Chaparral (Scottsdale, Ariz.) tackle Taylor Lewan. Lewan has been absolutely dominant this season and word is spreading fast among college coaches.

It seems a new offer rolls in for Lewan almost daily with Oregon State, Arizona and Nebraska being the most recent. Arizona State, Oregon, Nevada and Minnesota had previously offered.

The interesting thing with Lewan is he's just now playing on the offensive side of the ball after playing strictly defense a year ago at Cactus Shadows. His size and athleticism are ideal for the tackle position. Once schools had a chance to see some early game film, they wasted no time in offering.

Colorado offered

Offensive lineman Taylor Lewan (Scottsdale, Ariz./Chaparral) continues to rack up the offers and picked up another one from Colorado earlier this week. Lewan was recently invited to play in the Under Armour All-American game is one of the fastest rising prospects in the West this year.

I havnt seen anything on Sirles is this old talk before he gave his verbal or is it new?

Older news. Nothing recent suggests any problem with Sirles commitment.

I think Nebraska offered because Sirles had not yet committed and they might actually still like another OL in this class as last year was pretty bare (especially with Grant failing to qualify and Baker moving to D) and next year won't have room for too many guys.
