OU going for it on 4th and 1

The Maudfather

In the second quarter when it was 35-7 and OU had 4th and one from about the 5 or so, do you think it was a no-class call to go for it?

I had a few disagreements with some OU fans because I thought that was a bad call, unless they were just trying to pile it on.

It's always up to us to stop them. The flip side is, they go for a field goal...do they need the free 3 points?

I assumed they would have kicked it...but again, they are still trying for a National Title Game....they need to put up the points.....I think that is the main reason..

The premise here is that they are giving us chance to stop them from scoring any points. It's up to us to actually stop them.

Seriously, made no difference. It's a football game. Has nothing to do with being classy or sportsmanship.

No coach is going to stop scoring because it "may upset the other team".......It's up to the defense to stop them. No unclass displayed by the Sooners last night. It's just a bad case of some Husker fans being butt hurt over our piss poor peformance. Nothing more...Nothing less

if they kick then maybe stoops leaves bradford in another series in the 3rd quarter.... they beat us by an amount that stoops decided

If we stopped they would have gotten 0 points. By all means go for it, it's up to the defense to stop them.

So I guess I'm the only one who thinks Pelini would have been slaughtered for a call like this. :confucius OK then! :dunno

Going for it is fine with me. It's the first half and NU has a pretty potent offense when it's working. No reason to take your foot off the gas in the first half.
