I admit they got hosed but come on :hmmm Oregon capitilized on two bad calls that went in their favor. It's nothing more any other team or coach would do.

Boren Calls For OU-Oregon Game To Be Declared No Contest

NORMAN, Okla. -- University of Oklahoma President David Boren is now getting involved in the controversy over two controversial calls near the end of Saturday's OU-Oregon game.

The calls on an onside kick and a pass-interference call both went against Oklahoma, even though replays indicated the calls could've gone against Oregon.

Boren is sending a letter to Big 12 Conference commissioner Kevin Weiberg, in which Boren said the "lapse of accurate officiating" is "an outrageous injustice."

Boren wants Weiberg to take several steps including asking for an apology from the Pac 10 for what Boren called "gross errors in officiating" and to ask that the game not be recorded as a win or a loss by either team.

He also wants the officials who reviewed the plays suspended for the rest of the season; that the Big 12 ask the Pac 10 to change its rule calling for only Pac 10 officials at non-conference home games; and for the Big 12 to call for a discussion of how the replay review process should be implemented.

OU athletic director Joe Castiglione has already asked for a review of the officiating, and Pac 10 Commissioner Tim Hansen said the results of that review will be announced Tuesday.

The refs may get punished but there is no way that the NCAA will let both teams not put a W or L in either column.

I think Boren is trying to flex his muscle a little to stay in good graces with the fans, alumni and boosters. Basically putting on a show by flapping his fat jaw.

I can count a couple dozen times that the officials in a game made a blatant bad call that affected the outcome of a game. Hell its happened to us.

This is just typical OU crybaby behavior.

Well its Wednesday morning and the Ou fans and local media are still crying like babies. On the local news tonight they said that the replay official had received death threats for his life as well as his wife and daughter from OU fans.

The local media is reffering to it as Replay gate.

I saw in this mornings paper that stoops is saying

they might cancel there trip to Washington in 2008

if the pac 10 doesnt change its rule requiring leauge

officals to be used at its home stadiums for non

conference games.

Geez get over it. Should we be crying still about

the penn st reciever being out of bounds? Or the

fumble by FSU.

Are you listening to The Sports Animal?? We've been listening to it here and all day long yesterday (and even today) the fans are throwing out the "conspiracy theory" and "they (Oregon/Pac-10) cheated" statements. :hmmm :hmmm :hmmm :hmmm

If OU cancels their trip to Washington in 2008, it will look bad in the eyes of a lot of people (Sooner fans excluded) and they will be labeled cry-babies.

No but you have to admit 3 officials who were standing right there and ALSO a replay officiall also missed all those calls? I think something was/is kind of fishy about that. I chalk it up as karma. When you cheat in football it only comes back to bite ya in the rear!
