agree with all of that except for boise state. I think adding cincinnati would be a better move. The Big 12 could, and should, add BYU ColoradoSt. Houston and Boise State.
They should be doing that RIGHT NOW though. Not as a reactive move after more teams leave the conference.
Why? I guess if you are thinking market share or getting into Ohio as the reason that is a consideration. The problem is that in Ohio no one cares about Cincinnati it is OSU all the way. In Idaho it is all about Boise St. you also have a budding built in rivalry with BYU.agree with all of that except for boise state. yes but Cincinnati is like Houston in the way that it's market is like it's own separate world. If Cincinnati can continue to be good in basketball and get back to the way they were under Brian Kelly in football (yeah I know, it's a long shot) then more Cincinnatians will in theory become more interested in Cincinnati like they used to be.Why? That is fine then I would leave out CSU and add Cinci, BSU and BYU. The big problem with BYU is that it won't play Sunday games, but I don't think that is anything to hard to work out.yes but Cincinnati is like Houston in the way that it's market is like it's own separate world. I know that Ohio state will never be overcome as the favorite school in Ohio and the B1G will always rule there, but Cincinnati's metro of roughly 2,140,000 is a lot more appealing than idaho's entire population (roughly 1.63 million). Plus it gives the b12 another school nearby west Virginia.
true. Also doesn't BYU have its own network as well? If they do, I wonder how that would affect a future b12 network. That is fine then I would leave out CSU and add Cinci, BSU and BYU. Pac12 schools are very unlikely to add religion-based institutions such as Baylor or TCU.I think that if this domino falls it will be the last nail in the coffin for the Big 12. I mean how do they respond? They aren't keen on adding anyone.
Texas, Tech, Baylor and TCU to the Pac 12
Okie State I could see follow maybe, think an SEC offer is wishful thinking.
Kansas hopfefully would be OU's partner, if not they could end up in the ACC with KSU maybe.
ISU is screwed.

if that happened I would guess OU most likely follows them. That's why BYU is not in the Pac 12.Pac12 schools are very unlikely to add religion-based institutions such as Baylor or TCU.I think that if this domino falls it will be the last nail in the coffin for the Big 12. It boils down to: How tied to TCU and Baylor is Texas and how bad would the Pac 12 want Texas?
I could see Texas dumping them all for a Pac 12 invite. That would immediately kill the Big 12 and would put Texas in a nice position again as a premiere landing spot for in state recruits.
No, in this scenario OU leaves for the Big Ten so instead of rebuilding the conference Texas bails on them for the Pac 12.if that happened I would guess OU most likely follows them. That's why BYU is not in the Pac 12.It boils down to: How tied to TCU and Baylor is Texas and how bad would the Pac 12 want Texas?Pac12 schools are very unlikely to add religion-based institutions such as Baylor or TCU.I think that if this domino falls it will be the last nail in the coffin for the Big 12. Except that Delaney is keen on making the B1G *THE* collegiate basketball conference of note, and adding Kansas would pretty much put an exclamation point on that. And unless you're talking Texass 'proper', then no...there's no Texas school that would overcome what Kansas can bring re: basketball.Oklahoma and a Texas school is ideal for B1G expansion. More money there compared to OU and Kansas
