the idea of a 'throwback' player is stupid. he works hard, plays tough, and is all class. those are not antiquated values.

i disagree...

Yes, there are a lot of hard working, tough, all class cfb players out there. but there's only a few players, a certain type of player (rb in this case) who has a number of yards punched up in their head seconds before that play is even ran. Not getting those yards is not a question. Those yards might as well be written in pen on the stat sheet before the center snaps the ball.

i do not know what that means or how that makes a player a 'throwback'.

i get there is a lot more finesse nowadays, but the concept still irks me.

notwithstanding him generally being a pompous a$$, herbstreit's tone has drastically changed towards neb. since we got bo and i will imagine it will keep getting friendlier now that we are B1G.

in that video, he is embarrassing, but we dominate polls to ridiculous levels (damn you, aTm). remember, from the inside, you can not explain it; from the outside, you will never understand it.
