Outside Containment

How many times do we lose outside containment before a coach steps in to change the coverage? Play after play after play the last two weeks we take an inside motion and totally get out of position to defend the corners.........

 
The funny thing is that even as a child you are taught to play outside-in so that you force the ball inside where the linebackers and safety can fill the lanes. It's crazy how often our DEs and CBs get beat outside

It's because they constantly crash in on the ends instead of box out. I teach my kids to either box out or crash depending on what defense I am calling.

Josh Mitchell is like 160 lbs.....He isn't holding or setting the edge against anyone....We need to go after bigger more physical corners in this league.

Corey Raymond was right about us getting punched and quitting, but was dead wrong about the B1G calling PI. We need to go back to CB's playing press coverage. That would help. Our DE's continually get hooked as well. Crashing in instead coming "down the line".
