Nebraska was mentioned, along with Va Tech. football, that the athletic department tries to hook up football players with no rent government housing free of charge even though football players get about $500-600 a month for rent and costs.

This upsets some people because there are single mothers with babies on the waiting list that can't get free housing because the players have them.

Chambers was of course against the football p;layers.

I heard about this. It probably isn't "right", but it doesn't violate NCAA rules. The point of the policy is so that kids who don't come from a lot of money can live while still going to school full time. Thus, scholarship players can get housing for practically nothing.

I think it is a good policy, but at some universities the heart of the policy is being missed. Kids who can stay on campus probably should and kids who need the help should get it.
