Oh-wa-ma-bay Oh-diggy-zoo-wah
I was discussing this with a student from Ghana today- Owamagbe is a common name in Ghana. After repeating it 4 times to listen for nuances, I understood his name to phonetically sound out to:

Oh-wa-muh-bay Oh-digeh-zoo-wah

The last name is not diggy like ziggy but diguh. Slight phonetic alteration, doubt anyone would ever notice in nebraska. I bet anyone who isn't african just butchers it. my 2cents

There's a video of him pronouncing his own name, and it's Owámagbe (O-WAH-mug-bay O-diggy-zu-wa). Pretty sure the "diggy" is there since it came from him.

I thought the "diggy" was like the word digit... digi-zoo-wuh
