Ohio State at Nebraska: Husker fans may be offended that their team is in a position to upset another team, but a win over the Buckeyes would qualify. OSU could start the season as the nation’s top-rated squad and, if it can handle Oklahoma at home in September, will be no worse than No. 2 in the nation when it rolls into Lincoln Oct. 14. NU lost by 59 to the Buckeyes last season, but would have a chance here with a wild crowd.
Nebraska at Purdue: It’s already happened once, in 2015, and this Boilermaker team, at least on paper, will be better than the 2015 squad. Purdue’s quarterback, David Blough, returns, and he’s had good experience against NU, playing well in two games.
