Papio South setter picks Huskers over Penn State
Papillion-La Vista South sophomore Super-State setter Kelly Hunter has made an oral commitment to play volleyball at Nebraska beginning with the 2013 season.
Hunter chose the Huskers over Penn State.
The 5-foot-11 Hunter becomes the third Papillion-La Vista South sophomore headed to NU. Twin sisters Kadie and Amber Rolfzen, 6-3 outside hitters and the honorary captains of last fall's Super-State team, committed to Nebraska in June 2009, before their freshman year.
Last season, Hunter helped the Titans become the first undefeated Class A state champion in 38 years by putting up 541 assists and registering 249 digs from the back row and knocking down 212 kills (.343 hitting efficiency) as a right-side attacker.
