Parody

All-Conference
Lets face it, right now the Big XII is a very level playing field. The days of an automatic win against Baylor, Iowa St., and Kansas appear to be gone (for now atleast). Dont just focus on Nebraska not being the dominate team against KU, give credit to KU for buliding a respectabul football program. Sorry I just can't believe some of you "fans" when you get so down on the team.

It's kind of hard not to get a little down when the team makes the same mistakes week after week. It's not like we're gunna stop going to games or quit wearing red. We're just not used to our team playing like crap. Nothing wrong with complaining about it.

to a point, it is great to see this type of parody. All of these guys on tv talk bout how the big 12 is down this year, but imo it has been the closest race that i can remember. texas is the obvious favorite, but there are teams on the end of their schedule that can match most of that talent they have and put up a fight. I look at a conference like the acc which every1 sees as the best, and i really can't find anything better from the big 12 to the acc besides the rankings and alil east coast bias. just because texas is the only team in the national title hunt, doesnt mean the conference is down at all. its looking up in the next few years... many good games to come!

I had a hard time figuring out what this topic was about originally, but now I get it. FYI, it's parity, not parody :)

I agree about showing concern for the team. But everyone must realize that the players themselves need to recognize their problems and improve.

It's kinda like comparing Shaq's free throw's during an NBA game. You don't think he puts in a little more time during practice to improve his percentage? How many times could his points missed at the line been a win for his team?

There is a lot of excitement in college football today. Even though I don't care too much for Steve Spurrier, I was excited for South Carolina getting its first win ever in Tennessee.

The college playing field is leveling somewhat. IMHO Nebraska's option game became too predictable to the opponent. Coupled by the influence of passing quarterbacks having a much better chance of going pro became more apparent with each passing year, Nebraska changed with the times. And Nebraska's long tradition of winning will continue, given time to mature.

You must all believe that the heart of what we stand for has been nurtured in the soul of every one of us.

Driving down the neighborhood streets of Lincoln I couldn't help but watch a small group of our kids playing football. Perhaps replaying a great Husker moment of one of our recent games where a receiver stretched out to catch a touchdown pass from Taylor.

Quite the change from when I played backyard football in the late 70's and early 80's, running the option as I had my tailback in tow.

Seeing these sights gives me a warm feeling that normalcy will return to our program and winning, again, will be second nature.

You gotta believe! GBR! :thumbs
