Paul Johnson

I for one, would be excited to see Paul Johnson come to NU (see many past posts)......

I do have a question for someone closer to the situation or with better knowledge of Johnson...

* what type of a recruiter is he? Coming from Navy, he probably hasn't had the opportunity to go out and try to "swoon" the big time athlete.... He has to take whoever qualifies for the academy..... Will he recruit well ?

 
One of my fav things about PJ is how he handles a dumb reporter, he is a very smart person and can use sarcasm like no-one else!

 
I asked this in one of the other 9,000,000 posts about this dude.

Why does he get a pass for having crappy defenses? He coaches up the offense "with the talent he gets" however the defense is terrible with the same "talent" level. I don't want another offensive coach if it means our defense stinks. If that is the case you might as well keep Callahan.

Not bashing just asking.
