Paying Recruits

Maybe I'm cynical, maybe I read a little too much on the boards, but it seems every other comment is "I wonder how much School A just paid his dad's church." Joke wore out three weeks ago. :bang aaaaaand :rant

I disagree. Maybe the money and church deal, but the Tevin Mitchell momma got a new job is still fresh.

That whole thing seems fishy..... I hope NCAA is taking a look at this.

The sound bite they played on Schick and Nick of Mitchell decommiting from Nebraska to Arkansas was hilarious.

I don't understand how someone could get a job out of this and it not be an NZAA violation. That is the same thing as giving the parents cash money. I don't know all the details but I sure boosters all the country could run wild with this if left unchecked.

FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a cycle. Benefits to recruits were common place in the 80's and the NCAA cracked down on a lot of schools in the SWC and SEC and it cleaned things up. Eventually the NCAA will have to crack down again because if they just slap their hand more schools are going to push the limits.
