Pelini on Tommie Frazier "We don't need him"

You really think that what Bo said is what a head football coach at the University of Nebraska should say? This is something a middle school girl says when she hears one of her friends doesn't think she is very pretty. Bo simply needed to say something like "I respect what Tommie has done for this football program however I obviously have to disagree with him" something simple and sweet. Instead he goes off on some tangent about throwing stones yada yada yada and we don't need him.

Sorry but that is not how Bo should have reacted. Now he just poured gasoline on the dumpster fire he started.
Agree - Bo is reverting back to knee jerk reaction.

I love how Bo said the team needs to "circle wagons" yet just responded to a twitter post

I'm fine with it, we really don't need Tommie. This is Bo's team, if former players want to take swipes at him he should be able to defend himself.
This. Tommie has as much right to play Armchair Head Coach as any of us. Hopefully he's better at the armchair coaching stuff than the real thing.

I don't blame him one bit after all the crap he probably had flung his way by boosters, fans, and media over the weekend. I'd be defensive too.
That's kind of my feeling too. I think we're stuck in this mindset that every Husker coach has to be like TO, when in reality, TO was the anomaly in that sense. Coaches tend to be fiery people by nature.

as far as i am concerned, we do not need tommie. you are either part of the solution or part of the problem. and just complaining on twitter to get the media in a frenzy should be considered part of the problem.

I side with Bo here. Frazier may very well be right, but Frazier is not a part of this program, and I don't think being part of a couple great Husker teams 20 years ago gives him any particular wisdom here, and I'll never attack Bo for defending his guys.

Tommie is as big of an attention whore has you'll find on Twitter.... If you follow him on Twitter you already know that he never misses a chance to retweet someone telling him how great he was....

Exactly, he's a polarizing figure in this state. He knew once he sent that tweet out, that tons of fans would see it and react to it.
