Penn St. S Tim Buckley transfers to NC St., Redd leaning to USC.

It's gonna be rough if, at some point, Bill O'Brien decides it isn't worth it anymore, and leaves. The coronation they've given him on the Penn St. message boards will be nothing compared to litany of flith that will spew forth about him. Don't envy what any kid that leaves has to listen to at this juncture, but if that's the way it's going to be, best get out now and be done with it.
As part of his contract (smart on his or lawyer's part) was he got a one year extension on his contract for every year of probation. He has an eight year contract now.

Silas Redd will miss second straight game for USC

USC takes on Washington State tonight in a Pac 12 opener, but the Trojans will once again be without running back Silas Redd. The school announced via Twitter prior to kickoff Redd, defensive back Anthony Brown and defensive lineman JR Tavai will sit out of tonight’s game.

Redd did not travel with the team last week when USC opened the season in Hawaii due to a lingering knee injury. Instead, Redd was sent for an appointment with Dr. James Andrews and his status was uncertain for week two, although Lane Kiffin was hopeful he would be available.

Sounds like Silas Redd is having a tough go of it at USC. He did okay, but not great, last year at USC. Had 900 yards and nine TDs. Hasn't suited up yet this year due to injury. And his coach is one blowout loss away from getting canned.

Probably my favorite non-Husker stat from last year

U$C: 7-6

Penn St.: 8-4

If those kids hadn't left, PSu would have easily been 9-3...just for having a great kicker in the Virginia game. They also would have beaten Ohio. 10-2.

Don't know about Ohio. I think they would have beaten Virginia for sure. But Ohio was a pretty good challenge last year in that game. Something special brewed up in that game, that I personally thought was cool as hell and a lot of fun to watch.

It was beautiful, time after time.
