Sorry Matt - none of us care about your own personal connection to Penn State and how much this win would have meant to you. You have no actual prior to connection with Nebraska.

Win the games you're supposed to win so that losing the ones Vegas says you're supposed to lose doesn't sting as bad.
 
Matt needs to spend less time on podcasts and preaching and more time on hiring a talented staff that has a history of elite success. He has had 3 years to hire whoever he wanted, influence donors to increase funds, and bring in the talent to make Nebraska a top program again. Instead we are meddling just above .500 and likely will end season 3 with the same record as season 2.

My major argument with you is that you expect things to happen overnight. Rhule demoted 2 friends last year. Our past coaches would not do this. I still think we have some coaches that need to go & it starts with Riola. Butler needs to be more flexible with the talent he has. He has not helped the d-line out as our linemen are too undersized to be running a 3 man front in the Big 10. Last yr., we spent money on getting 2 WRs, 2 O-Linemen & keeping EJ. I will agree that was not enough, but we need to spend more NIL on starting linemen - off & def.

Three years is more than enough time to make drastic improvements as Cignetti has proven taken over a dumpster fire of a program and turning it into an instant CFP contender. Gone are the days where coaches have a long runway. I do applaud Rhule for making some coaching changes, but he has to make more changes AND make the right hires. Butler was not an elite DC to begin with and we have felt the impact this season. When you add in the easier schedule this season and getting blown out by 2 teams under .500, I would say this season has been a major disappointment with what could have been.

You don't read anything I or anyone else posts requarding to your constant complaining of the coaches. Get use to the staff as Rhule got an extension. We will just need to agree to disagree!🙄
 
Cignetti has caused a huge issue in CFB. Everybody seems to think there are multiple of him out there. Remember when everyone was looking for the next Saban, well they still are. I think we could be in an era where you want stability. A lot of great coaches have not been able to figure this era out. Looking at you Dabo.

I do think they need to figure out how to run the O in the off-season. I have not been as critical as others with DH. I can see he does not know how to run an offense in the B1G. Our D problem is our LB's. Look how out of position they are in the long runs. Those dogs don't hunt.

I have read a lot of posts on here and comments on social media, many of which agree Rhule and this staff are struggling. You are welcome to continue your Rhule worship and ignore the perspective of other fans.

As a side note, I realized after Frosts second year that he was not the man for the Nebraska job and was criticized by some like you claiming he needed more time and coming up with excuses to defend poor performances.

spot on -- all the extra fun PR stuff can wait until he puts a good product on the field and win. Why do we have a RB room with only 1 proven RB? Why do we not utilize our TE, why have we become a one trick pony- without EJ we'd be 4- 7 at best, why no real playmakers on the front 7 of the D, why do we have an experienced OL that is underperforming??? . Development isn't happening.
