So their 2013 class will only have 5-10 scholarships and 2014-2017 classes will have like 15-20. 5 down a year for 4 years doesn't seem unrecoverable. USC got 10 per year for 3 years?

USC was loaded, and also didn't have tell freshman they would NEVER play in a postseason game.

Usually, vacating wins is a merely symbolic event and folks still consider team “X” as a defending conference champion or streaks remain intact in the consciousness of fans etc.

But with the heightened awareness because of Paterno’s record, this will have more traction.

So, from a purely parochial and selfish viewpoint, doesn’t this move us up on the all-time wins list ladder?

Bowl proceeds are split evenly so if PSU is not contributing b/c of ban then they should not share in proceeds. Could also be some adjustment to BTN and other TV revenues.

With Penn State and Ohio State in that division (and both under NCAA sanctions), I would suggest the Big10 re-think the name of that division....

What an idiot, what reputation before this came out? That so called "reputation" penn state had before this came out, is GONE

Plus it was that reputation that they tried to protect by not reporting Sandusky. NCAA practically said, your reputation is gone. You tried to cover it up, now its gone regardless.

NCAA said bowl ban, I am guessing BIG will ban them from Championship game. Maybe more fines. Like someone else said, PSU wont get any share of bowl revenue
