Penn State & Texas

Guy Chamberlin

Heisman Trophy Winner
I don't have time to read all the threads, but has it been noted that Nebraska may have received some very late karmic payback for both Penn State '82 and Texas '09 in the same quarter?

Stakes weren't as high.

Still......

I kept my eyes on the officials the whole time. They paused briefly before leaving the field. Looked like the head official was in contact with replay upstairs. When they jogged into the tunnel I finally started celebrating.

Always thought PSU not getting a share of the '94 national title was our payback on them.

As far as the last play goes the time difference between throwing it from midfield into the stands and Colt throwing from the sideline was just enough to kill that extra second. I was surprised to see a vet like Cook show such horrible mental clock management. If you only have 7 seconds left and you want to run another play yet you dropback making a quick read and sling it at a receiver(I'd say a high hard one at Burridge) or the ground. Not only pulling the ball down but then throwing it over 30yds just to get rid of it was a total freshman play.

The last play gave me flashbacks of Texas for sure. Plus how we had that terrible kickoff....darn near had a panic attack
