People still showing 0 respect

I don;t think NU sucks. They are an above average team that didn;t help itself by losing back to back games late in the year. They have the chance to earn a lot of respect with the last 4 games they will play .

Nebraska doesn't suck there just inconsistent. Just don't know what type of team is going to show up each week.

AHHHH, remember when we didn't have to worry about that. :)

GBR!!!

You have to win something before you start getting some respect, if you ask me. Texas would have helped in that regard.

Some people think that just b/c they have 1 decent season after years and years and years of getting their a$$es kicked they are better than every other team (i.e. KU). People also love to see big time teams/people go down and jump on that at every chance then can...case and point when NU has had a couple of off years, people/media were all over it.

The respect is slowly gaining back into our favor. We need to win a big game and it will push us over the hump. Beating Texas in the Big XII Championship will help with this. Or, if we get a big time name in the Bowl Game.

We're going to win the Northern Division this season, that will bring us some respect. If we beat Texas we'll pop back up into the top 10, that will bring us some respect back. I've been following husker football since the late 60's. Like most of you I'm very much acutely aware of what Callahan has been doing to return the program to greatness, but all non-Nebraska fans know is we have three losses and are not ranked in the AP Poll.

I wish I could agree but I really can't see that. Say we inch up to 23 after beating aTm. Then beating CU will get us nothing in the rankings. Even if we beat UT, we will be 10 and 3. I just don't see that getting the Huskers into top 10. I think 15 is the best we can hope for.

With that said, having NU back in the top 20 is a major accomplishment.

We'll just have to see what play out!

:bonez

Yeah I agree. Those three losses killed our chances in the polls. All we can do know is hope that Nebraska can win these last two games and the Big 12 Championship. I'd love to hear what that idiot Mark May has to say if that happens.

You very well may be correct. I admit I'm hoping as the season winds down over the next few weeks we will see more than a few teams ranked over us lose a game and drop a few spots. We have three games left including the CCG, if we do beat Texas I can see us moving up 6 or 7 spots. So to get in the top 10 we would have to move up 7 or 8 spots by beating A&M and the puffs. I realize that probably won't happen. But I'm still drinking the kool-aid. :)

I don't know why Husker fans get so upset about the lack of respect being shown to Nebraska. As soon as we make some noise and start winning big games, the respect will come. Action speaks louder than words.
