ARTICLE 5

b. Color.
1. Players of opposing teams shall wear jerseys of contrasting colors.
Players on the same team shall wear jerseys of the same color and
design.
2. The visiting team shall wear white jerseys; however, the home team
may wear white jerseys if the teams have agreed in writing before the
season.
3. If the home team wears colored jerseys, the visiting team may also
wear colored jerseys, if and only if the following conditions have been
satisfied
a. The home team has agreed in writing prior to the game; and
b. The conference of the home team certifies that the jersey of the

Frost stated in the press conference today that in future seasons he wants there to be permanent home and away Blackshirts alternates.

I was just wondering what people think the away should look like since it probably can’t be a black jersey.

I happen to think the logo still looks good on white:

So I was thinking the away version could be black pants (with the logo somewhere) with white jersey and logo in the same spot as it is on the black jerseys. Very similar to the home alternates but throwing as many red accents in as possible.

It's an odd deal. It'd probably look pretty damn cool, but man, that traditional Nebraska helmet is hard to beat!

I agree...

I don't mind the idea of alternates at times, but I really like the helmet. Honestly, though, I kinda like the Black N on the side of the helmets this year.

In the presser he said he wants to eventually have a version of this seasons throwback for both home and away games.  If the D meets certain benchmarks in the previous game (he mentioned hold the opponent to a certain number of points) then the team wears the Blackshirt themed uniform the following week.  Said it's an homage to the Blackshirts.  Something that hasn't really been done.  This year break them in and make sure kids like them..  Said it's a down the road.  

I think it's a great idea.  Re-establish the culture.  I can think it would also add positive peer pressure to the the team ie I don't want to be the D that loses these ones we start wearing them.....
