Peterson

Adrian Peterson has a seperated left shoulder. He sustained the injury in the fourth quarer of last weeks game against A&M. He did return to the game and had one rush for four yards. Hopefully our defense plans to gang tackle and put lots of bodies on that shoulder.
He finished up with 59 yards on 10 carries.

First time all year without 100 yards.
It was actually 59 yards on 15 carries, that's less than 4 yards per carry. All in All, it was 29 carries for 100 yards against the Huskers. Not that bad, but it really didn't matter with the secondary getting torched.

I thought that we did a pretty good job against the run. We needed our secondary to step up and make some plays and they never did it.

5.9 yards a carry...our defense got chopped up.

White had a field day. They didn't need to run the ball
Would it still have been 5.9/carry if he carried 20-30 times? Averages can be deceiving.

Either way, Oklahoma said "We can beat you without him" when he didn't start.
Yeah, Oklahoma didn't even need to run the ball. They threw so many short ball control passes that were basically like a run because the receivers are excellent. I can't wait till the Huskers have some playmaking receivers like they do!
Notre Dame is still waiting for Willingham to bring in those playmakers. I guess they'll get there next year.

Yea, I guess every team that ever ran the option did awesome as well.
