Does Petteway Declare for the Draft Wednesday?

There just aren't that many spots available in the NBA. He shot pretty well and was decent on assists-to-turnovers.

But that's a pretty run-of-the-mill line. I would think he'd have to do something to stand out to have a shot.

 
Or after the season starts maybe he'll get a shot as injuries create spots. Not sure how that works in the NBA. Many years ago a guy from my high school got some chances this way. I think they had 10 day contracts for guys to fill in a temporary spot. He had 4 of them with different teams, so he actually tied an NBA record (most teams played for in a season) even though he only has 44 career points in 90 minutes. Not a bad scoring rate, actually. Maybe things have changed in 20+ years and each team has something like the NFL taxi squad or MLB farm teams?

There is a D League for the NBA, but playing overseas pays better.
