pink

Everyone knows that I am all about wearing red to home games, but this would serve a higher purpose than acting out an x-box nerd's wet dream. I have a sister that is a survivor and would definitely support something along these lines. This would be a great way to raise money for the cause if the University is behind it.

I'd certainly be more aware of breasts in general, if girls went to the game topless! The players or fans wearing pink would be ok with me. I'm for it!
I'm a female Husker fan and think your reply is classless.

As another female Husker fan (and who's had a scare with breast cancer) I also agree.....your reply is classless and very inconsiderate.

As far as a "pink out"......maybe pink towels to wave?? I'm very active as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, but I think I'd have to have the Sea of Red! I am working very hard to help find a cure for cancer. My dream is that nobody ever has to hear that word again!!

Next time you do your laundry put your red jerseys in with your white ones and you'll be all set. Those corn cob hats are going to be harder.

I'll probably be tarred & feathered for this, but here goes...

MLB, PGA, and now the NFL have had "pink days" for breast cancer awareness. I think it would be cool and an amazing sight to see the Sea of Red turned pink for one game.

Better a pink out than a B******.
That is a great idea! Perhaps the Med center could help! You could sell pink towels for the fans to wave or pink balloons to release with the 5,000 First National Bank red ones. The money could be given to the reserchers at UNMC! And I bet sponsors like the First National Bank would line up to get involved or Larry the Cable Guy :hellloooo .

Not only would you raise awareness but also money! :clap :hellloooo

Another thought..........

K-state probably isn't the best game to do this..........

Yes it would take off and probably be pretty pink in the stands with the efforts of Dr. Tom and Snyder.....

But the reality is Nebraska vs K-State will likely be a ppv game.........

It is a little early to get it going for the TTech game........

Best bet would be the OU game, most likely to be a nationally televised game..............

i think the pink baloons idea is the best and most viable so far. We'd end up taking "pinkshirts" crap from opposing fans otherwise

I go to schol at Wayne State and we do this once a year for women's basketball, where we have a "pink out", the players wear pink warm-ups and shoelaces, etc. It's really a fun event, and I'm not sure if you guys know or not but Nebraska's women's basketball team does the same thing, and they wear pink jerseys and auction them off.

As far as I knew this was something that was usually done at women's sporting events though, but I would be absolutely for it!

Just sent an email to Dr. Tom's assistant. The worst they can say is "no" or "not enough time."

Maybe next year?
