Pitt & Syracuse talking to ACC?

So this really makes me wonder what the B1G is thinking right now. I still would like to see Notre Dame, Missouri, Kansas, and West Virginia. This move adds great football, basketball, and academics to the B1G. Just my thoughts!

Done deal as of yesterday. Official announcement by ACC accepting the two new members.

Sounds like Pitt and Syracuse leaving for the ACC, the MWC is now trying to coax TCU to reconsider leaving for the Big East next year and stay with them instead.

There are some interesting dynamics with the MWC and C-USA if the Big 12 and Big East (football) collapse. Was just reading an article about the two conferences talking about joining football into two 12 team divisions.

The Big East commissioner said it best, what we have now is complete chaos and greed with nobody in control and no long term vision for CFB. ESPN has a vision of super-conferences because it fits right into a playoff and ultimately more money for them, but it's a very self serving vision that isn't necessarily best for the game and it's going to destroy a lot tradition with a chaotic realignment. Some programs stand to lose everything being the odd man out. I do kinda worry that when the smoke settles, if the result is something everyone hates we're somehow going to be blamed as the first domino. There's still a lot of animosity towards Boston College and Miami for how they conducted themselves in the last Big East / ACC realignment and this could be a whole lot bigger.
