Thanks guys for the tailgate party. :thumbs It was cool to meet you guys that were there. I must apologize for my actions, my friend and I were about 5 pitchers of Elk Creeks into the day when we got there, hell, I may still be drunk :wasted The missus wasnt particularly pleased with my act <_<

When I fall when I'm on stairs I usualy fall down. I'm gonna have to learn how to do it up, sounds like it'd hurt less.

 
I just wish I coulda GOT there. Didn't even get much of a chance to prime thanks to my car. 2 quick beers and I had to RUN to the stadium just to make it in time for the tunnel walk.

What can ya do?

 
I think a good time was had by all and I really appreciate all the work that went into it. I mean, having enough adult beverages for me is a feat in itself. JK. Blackshirt did a hell of a job on a short timeframe. The banners looked awesome. We had a couple potential members stop by and I hope they come by and register.

To the guys who couldn't make it, hopefully you can make it to the next one. :thumbs

Just curious about those Huskerboard T-shirts...are they the same ones that are having the 'comments' to the fans on the back, or are they completely different from that suggestion? Maybe they need to be both? :thumbs

Solid fellowship was had by many. Lots of food and drink to go around. Thanks to everyone for stopping by, a few no shows, but for the most part, I was very happy to see so many faces, especially big dave. I have a great pic of him throwin the bones with his face painted. Next time we'll double the numbers. Thanks to Blackshirt for what he organized. Remember to visit our sponsors on the main page.

I appreciate the sentiment, but no hard feelings man. I enjoyed meeting you and your friend, even if you may have been in rare form ;) I think we've all been there.

I wasnt around at the time, but apparently you just got my brother a little fired up b/c he was trying to get things packed up so we could head to the game, only to turn around to find some "formerfan" pulling coolers apart in search of that infamous "last beer". :) And since he didnt really know you & it was his ladies truck & her grandparents spot it just rubbed him the wrong way. I'm sure you can identify, as we can with you. So no worries from myself or my family, and you're welcome to make a repeat appearance at a future huskerboard event. :cheers

 
I appreciate the gratitude from all, but realize that by no means was this all my doing, so no way I can take all the credit. I may have organized it, but it wouldnt have been even close to the success it was without several other key people -- namely my family back home for helping with the food, transportation & cooking -- my bro's fiance for letting us haul all our crap in her rig, and her grandparents for allowing us to use their awesome parking spot literally in the shadows of TO Field. And then of course the mod squad (Eric the Red, DaveH, hoyamannn, Newearthhusker) who were all very hospitable to our guests to ensure everyone had what they needed... and that the easy-to-open pop-tops on the beer cans were still functional. :wasted

Overall it was a great time & a big success, so thanks to all that stopped by, and you are MORE THAN WELCOME. As others have said it was real cool to meet you guys, and it was also a great excuse to just "eat drink & be merry" with other like-minded people. And even though this one went great, the future 'gates should be even better -- there were a few things we kinda forgot in all of the madness to get down there & set up, i.e. music, games, tshirts, & even raffle prizes someday.
