Player Ejected

How often does it happen? I can only remember a handful of times in games I've seen. What're some notable ejections and the plays that caused them that you can think of?

This video got me thinking...

Yea that was brutal, wish we could hear what that coach was saying to him on the way to the locker room.

Probably telling him to shut his pie-hole because the coach was winding up to rip him a new bad guy.

I thought I heard the Vandy player may have called for a fair catch and that was the big reason why he was ejected

Didn't the Texas Tech player get ejected for his late hit last night on ISU's QB.

EDIT- I guess he didn't get ejected but he did get flagged.

I heard the big reason for the ejection was the taunting after the hit.

He didn't signal for a fair catch, so it was probably the intentional leading with the helmet, and then the celebration afterwards

Gotchya. Thanks for the clarification. It may have been the way he swung his left arm just prior that lead people to think he was signalling for a fair catch.

I hope the coach makes Wade runs wind sprints until he pukes. Then the coach makes him sit down and write a hand written apology to the player.

I recall there was an offensive lineman during the '09 Texas/Nebraska Title Theft match where the same O-Lineman got two back-to-back chop block penalties on Suh.

Any other game or conference, two back to back chop blocks by the same person against the same defender would had been targeting and that offensive player would be ejected. Since the head of officiating was/is a Texas alum, it would take something just short of the "winning" pass from the beginning of the Last Boy Scout to see a Texas player suspended...

...and knowing the Big XII, Walt Anderson would have only suspended the kid on principle for not using hollow-point rounds.
