Player of the game

Special Teams Player
Niles paul had over half of our offense output!

"Trailing 17-16, Nebraska junior receiver Niles Paul — who was probably NU’s most valuable player with 236 all-purpose yards — returned a kickoff 44 yards to the Kansas 36-yard line. An offsides penalty against KU put the ball 5 yards closer."

Paul played great, but I don't know how you can say he was the player of the game with a straight face considering what Helu did.

All I know is NP's a$$ looked like it was made of lead, or Kansas tackles like a bunch of Nancy's. I'll go with the latter as a KU player even bounced off of Zac Lee on his long run, and we all know about ZL's power running.

Yeah, you know I gave out game balls to Helu and Henery but one should have definitely gone to Paul. Huge game yesterday.

He's a Junior. And he had a huge game no doubt. I just wish he would carry the ball different. I am literally scared that he is going to drop it or it's going to get poked out every single time he carries it!!!

it is intersting to note total offense of the three all are major part out of NU total of 410

Helu had 168 but recovered the fumble

Paul did have a hell of a game, but I have to give the game ball to Gomes. The fumble he forced seemed to me to be the turning point....

I give the game ball to the Kansas defender who facemasked. That was the turning point for me. Without that call, who knows what would have happened?

But seriously, Helu hands down. A real gamer takes over a game, and that's what Helu did. Paul still makes me nervous every time he gets the ball. He had a mismatch on Saturday, but Helu just single-handedly won that game in the end.

Oh, and Gomes was my pick until he "interfered." Seriously?
