Playing time for Courtney Osborne?

I didn't think that PJ Smith was having that bad of a year but not good either.

Thenarse has been just plain sad.

Yes, Osborne should see more time. I have watched and re-watched him lighting Gabbert up.

Cassidy looked good too.

and there was someone named Thomsen out there? #37? Who was that?
Thomsen has never played a second until the game Saturday, when he played a fair amount. I believe Bo said he played him because he used to be a linebacker and must be smart so he was able to make the calls Meredith was having to make from the Spinner or whatever it's called. Apparently everything was re-opened in practice this week and Thomsen proved he wants to play

I think the Thomsen story is getting overlooked because of Roy's big day, the Martinez injury, and true frosh Ciante Evans playing well. Thomsen had never played in any game and then comes in against the #6 team in the nation - who has a tremendous offense - and not only plays solid but records a sack. Hopefully the media picks up on this story because it's another great one in the line of legendary walk-ons.

I expect Osborne to get more PT, after Beebe gets done with him.

Smith may be injured, idk, he played well for most of the year, but played badly against OSU. Thenarse has tackled badly for most of his career, it popped up against texa$$ and hasn't gone away yet.

If we have the depth, get the kids in there to play.

Thenarse is just play related, lots of mental mistakes.

Smith is injury related. Has been banged up all year and fighting through injuries which has hindered his play.
This is exactly what I heard. Can't remember who was saying it, but they made it sound like Smith's issues are kind of "sad," or an unfortunate situation. Not sure if I heard that very well, but that's what it seemed like they were saying. It's certainly not that he's not capable of playing well, he's just banged up.

Thenarse is an entirely different story. I'm very happy to see that he's back up to 100% after that injury last year, but dammit Rickey, you're a Senior! Wrap up! He's been so frustrating this year, especially since his "wood" hits aren't carrying much wood. When Garret Gilbert bounces off your "laying the wood" shot and keeps going for another 7-10 yards, you're doing it wrong. I love what Rickey has put into this program during his time, but he's so damned frustrating to watch that I can't complain that he's benched.
