Police Reform

This kid didn't get hurt but this is maddening. The police officer is the one who seems impaired.

It's fun getting a field sobriety test when you're stone cold sober... I can only imagine it's even more fun to actually be arrested for being sober. I got tested for sitting in my car outside a bar after closing time waiting to pickup my GF from her shift. Fortunately the cop was sensible and could tell I wasn't intoxicated.

Field sobriety tests are definitively stacked against you. They are not meant to help you, they are only meant to help the police gather data and evidence that could be incriminating. Best to refuse them in all circumstances just like it's best to never answer questions. When a cop asks, "You know how fast you were going?", they are not being friendly and cordial and conversational, they are trying to get you to admit guilt.

Not to be confused with the breathalyzer or other chemical tests, because if you refuse those you're probably getting an automatic suspended license depending on the state.

Pathetic and disgusting

More heads are about to roll. Don't know how he was hired. Really brings a bad name to the good cops out there.

More and more law enforcement is reminding me of the Catholic Priest issues in the 70s & 80s. Instead of taking action against the guilty party, they just moved priests around the country trying to sweep sexual assault under the rug.  Now the police, instead of taking strong actions against bad cops and preventing them from being LEOs, sweep the infractions under the rug and allow them to continue being LEOs in a different jurisdiction. Catholics were hiding pedos and law enforcement is hiding sexual and violent predators to prevent being sued.

What a f#&%ing travesty.

Judge rules Breonna Taylor's boyfriend caused her death, throws out major charges against ex-Louisville officers

A federal judge has thrown out major felony charges against two former Louisville officers accused of falsifying a warrant that led police to Breonna Taylor's door before they fatally shot her.

U.S. District Judge Charles Simpson's ruling declared that the actions of Taylor's boyfriend, who fired a shot at police the night of the raid, were the legal cause of her death, not a bad warrant.

...

But Simpson wrote in the Tuesday ruling that "there is no direct link between the warrantless entry and Taylor's death." Simpson's ruling effectively reduced the civil rights violation charges against Jaynes and Meany, which had carried a maximum sentence of life in prison, to misdemeanors.

Absolute horsecrap police work.  They harass the dude that gets his car window cracked and not the a$$h@!es in the road blocking traffic.   What a bunch of f#&%nuts
