Ok, ok - i will behave.  I like CORNHUSKERS.  Nebraska Huskers just sounds like something is missing.

That's where I stand as well. Whenever Nebraska comes first in discussing our football team it has to be Nebraska Cornhuskers-not Nebraska Huskers. That sounds weird. For chants/cheers Huskers is fine.  Market the Corn!

I too prefer Cornhuskers to Huskers and Herbie to Lil Red. More times then not though...I find myself identifying as a Nebraska fan. Everyone knows Nebraska both for the good and bad.

Depends on how the team is being addressed: for me, I prefer "Nebraska Cornhuskers" if they're throwing the name of the University in, or just "Huskers" if it's being used as a standalone.

With the full name of the university, the Nebraska Cornhuskers sounds far better.  (Does anyone use Nebraska Huskers?)  But for everyday use, just "Huskers" for short works just fine.  

Looking through my closet, it seems like most of my gear and clothing has just plain Huskers, and not Cornhuskers.   So there's that.
