I think he will turn it around and get back on track because I thought Florida was a crappy situation and a bad program lately. At the same time I could not stand the love & hype he was getting, it was over-the-top too much. He will be good at BU. Just like I think DR will be good wherever he goes as well. Both are still very talented QBs but might have been in tough situations, unfortunately.

That is my kids. They went to UNL during the worst Frost years. They have no attachment to football there. The tickets were limited, the location of the student section sucks, the football was bad. The best game experience they remember was the Akron storm canceled game. Because the stadium blasted music and the students partied in the rain before taking over the field.

Neither is interested in tickets, attending games, and certainly not donating money. They couldn't name a player on the team before the portal process, now few of us can.

If this keeps up much longer, UNL will need to move students back to the 50 yard line and charge $7 a game like when I went.

As mentioned in another post, I went the the Husker/UCLA game with my son and his buddy, who directed me to the massive UCLA student tailgate on the north side of the Rose Bowl. Easily 10,000 students partying in tents with free flowing beer and music. By my count maybe 20% attended the game. The Rose Bowl is at least an hour away from the UCLA campus. The loudest UCLA fans were over 50 and genuinely looked embarrassed that Husker fans were louder.
 
Doesn't sound like Hunt from Coastal is going to be a thing. He apparently wants to go somewhere and be "the guy"

Yeah, I understand he was a true and then redshirt freshman but if you aren't on the field at East Tennessee State (which is down a level) or Coastal Carolina your options to be "the guy" are going to be limited. We need some guys in the room and I guess high school success is better than nothing for background, but the role we'd be filling here is playcall signaler rather than backup QB.

If we see TJ's name in the portal, we'll have a little more to offer and won't be extending preferred walk-on opportunities to guys who haven't seen the field at FBS and G5 schools. I'm sure there are some freshman QBs with at least a recruiting pedigree that won't come here with the current situation, but might Colandrea only have one year left.
