Dylan's departure will free up millions of NIL dollars. But it sounds like we're prioritizing shoring up the lines in the portal this cycle, so don't expect us to go chasing guys like Sorsby or Lagway that are gonna command the biggest bucks. It sounds more likely that we'll be kicking the the tires on some top G5 guys. Someone who can at least give Lateef a run for his money in a QB competition in spring.

So realistically, who do you think we should be targeting for a QB? Any reports you've heard?

Haven't heard anything, but some guys that are currently in the portal that I wouldn't mind would be Colton Joseph (Old Dominion), Jaden Craig (Harvard). We have no shot at Sorsby or Leavitt. So not saying them

I don't think this is fully true. Word on the street is NU was only paying around half of DR's $3Mish rate. National companies (Adidas, Panini, etc) were paying the other half.

I have heard Craig mentioned a few times by media and other fans mentioning Brown from USF. Another name that popped up was Zane Flores from Okie St. . Local kid that Rhule tried to flip when he arrived, but Flores stayed true to OSU. He may not be in the portal yet, but obviously Gundy is gone.

Erm, UNL wasn't paying any of it themselves, other than base scholarship + small stipend. 1890 handled things previously, though they're winding down operations now.

I meant NU = revenue share + 1890

So revenue share + 1980 made up around $1.5M. National companies made up around $1.5M.

Unless we get a top of the barrel guy, I don't see Adidas or Panini paying that much for the new guy.

I watched Flores a few times this year. Wasn't impressed. I'm pretty sure he was only playing because another guy got hurt.

Metamaker is interesting. He didn't start a game in high school and walked on. I only watched one game. He seems like a winner.
