Sean Callahan only brought up Purdy and Thompson today as options. Feels unlikely we have an under the table agreement with a QB who is still in a bowl as most bowls are done and why would you wait at this point.

An Oklahoma writer said Thompson would be in play at Oklahoma if Williams leaves. So it's possible we are looking for an experienced arm that's not Thompson at this point. But agreed, would be pretty meh.

A friend theorized to me that the "QB we're waiting on the enter the portal" is Brock Purdy of ISU as he has a Covid year left.  And then we'd also bring in Chubba as our 2nd portal QBs.  They get to play together for 1 year with Brock starting this year and Chubba in position to start in 2023.
