People misunderstand Saban when he starts complaining about new trends in cfb. They think he's out of touch and that this is a sign that he's about to lose his edge and dominance.
It's really just a warning. He's essentially saying, "This is bad for the sport. Okay, you wanna do it this way? Fine. I'll beat your a$$ with it better than you could possibly imagine."
He did the same thing with the no huddle offenses. Asked "is this what we want football to become?". Then put together some killer no huddle offenses.
