This was interesting.  Gill is the Highest paid FCS coach  Pelini's  pay is below the average salary by $40,000.

Turner Gill received a base salary of $658,492 and a total compensation package of $750,116

Bo and sweater vest did that intentionally.  Every penny they pay Bo is a penny that NUAD does NOT have to pay him, so they made his salary as low as possible.  As soon as NUAD is off the hook for Bo, he'll get a raise or a different job.

Pretty sure the guy before Pelini at YSU made $214,000.  So maybe what Bo is making is just what they pay their HC and not some scheme to undermine Nebraska.

In his first year, Pelini got the exact same salary as his predecessor, because they had to pay him at least that much or it would've voided his contract buyout with the Huskers.  Pelini would've taken the job for $0 salary if he could, making Nebraska pay him that much more.

I believe we will end up spending somewhere between $5,000,000 to 7,000,000 for the HC.  Your OC, DC estimates are about right.  Not sure we will be at a $350,000 average for the rest of the assistants.
