His numbers went up because of course they did, but "I don't remember EJ being a part of the game plan" is an insane take and you should get your eyes checked.

I honestly have no idea what you said here. I might be drunk. Do you have a thesis with this?He had 175 caries for 1,002 rushing yards, 10 TDs, and 33 catches for for 197 yards in the 9 games until Dylan was out.
Averages of 19.4 caries per game, 111 ypg, 3.6 catches per game, 22 receiving yards per game.
After Dylan was hurt, with a true freshman quarterback (no crap you would change the offensive scheme to rely more on your veteran star RB and less on your young green quarterback), the averages were 25.3 carries per game, 149 ypg, 4.3 catches per game, 57 receiving yards per game.

Also, in regards to Rhule's comments, he was answering in the context of being asked about coaching the D Line for the bowl game, explaining that he hasn't felt able to do much of the actual football coaching stuff so far because he's been capped on bandwidth in a CEO role. I get that people will get triggered thinking he's just like Frost blaming the people before him, and maybe he is, or maybe he's just describing the reality of where we were, significantly behind in NIL, behind in facilities, behind in administrative clarity, behind in staffing and support roles and resources. Does anyone care to argue that those things weren't true?
I think I did, but are you saying he was a planned viable part of the game plan. Just not sure with your response.Honest question - did you watch Nebraska football this year?
Ok, thanks. So he was sometimes, and when he wasn’t, and there were regrets? And then this holgo comment was in the first third of the year. Here's Dana's comment about the use of EJ. Take it for what it's worth. This was prior to USC, but multiple games in. Comments from OC DH

Dana Holgorsen has one big regret about recent Nebraska game plans
Nebraska OC owns up to game plan issues, vows to fix ithuskercorner.com
You're welcome. I'd say closer to the half way point, but he really didn't become the "focus" of Dana until this point.Ok, thanks. So he was sometimes, and when he wasn’t, and there were regrets? And then this holgo comment was in the first third of the year.

Especially when we averaged 66 plays a game on offense.Yes, I thought it was obvious to anyone that watched Nebraska football this year that EJ was a large part of the game plan prior to Raiola getting hurt.
Do you believe that a player that averaged 23 touches/game was not “a planned viable part of the game plan”?
First, im not counting the receptions- that was more for Dylan’s short yardage game. So that leaves about an average of 20 touches per game. I don’t find that much for a starting running back who rotated out very little.Yes, I thought it was obvious to anyone that watched Nebraska football this year that EJ was a large part of the game plan prior to Raiola getting hurt.

Ok, let’s just take the carries. Do you know how many RBs averaged over 20 carries a game this year? Eight! And only 2 RBs averaged more than 21 carries/game.
As you pointed out before, much of his lack of touches is because Dylan opted to check to the pass the majority of the time. Some of the choice plays were eliminated post Minnesota. But that's for the season. EJ only had two games out of the first seven where he got 20 carries. Even the game after he went 21 for 176 (Maryland) we wouldn't even commit to him for the next game (14 for 63). It wasn't until we bottomed out against Minnesota that we committed to running him significantly.

Was DR trying to pas his transfer stats? Hanging on to the ball too long doesn't show up on a stat line.... that completion % sure does though.
I like Dylan but it does make me wonder.

krc said Emmett wasn't part of the game plan until Dylan got hurt. It was pointed out that Emmett averaged over 19 carries/game (and 22 total touches/game) before Dylan got hurt. I am not using the first 7 games as a demarcation point. And krc was the one that said 20 carries a game from the RB1 wasn't a lot.
EJ averaged 19.3 carries/game pre-Dylan being hurt. Do you know how many RBs averaged 19.3 or more carries/game? Nine
Since you want to talk about the first 7 games, EJ averaged 17 carries/game in those. Do you know how many RBs averaged 17 or more carries/game? 22
(Jeremiyah Love averaged 16.6 carries/game for the full season.)
