I hope we can somehow avoid the play in game. I think it's the dumbest thing. I'd rather be a 12 seed than a "play in" 11 seed.

I don't think that would be all that bad.

You'd get a ton of pub because all the pent-up anxiousness for the beginning of the tourney should draw a lot of attention. (far more than if you were just one of 16 games on the traditional opening day).

It likely would be played at night rather than the day which would also increase potential viewship/interest, which for recruiting purposes, actually might be better.

For sheer odds of winning, a Tuesday or Wednesday game gives you a better opportunity to shake the dreaded......"never won an ncaa tourney game" label which is a program albatross.

Finally, win or lose, years from now when compiling stats, you are still credited with being in the dance "x"number of times..........are you not?
