I would like to know who Bo and Staff are targeting as potential 2010 walk ons.

What have you guys been hearing?

And for those of you who live in Nebraska, what have they been saying up there?

 
So far this is what I have... but I have a feeling there is much more.

OL Lincoln Hansen - 6'6" 290 5.5 staff wants him to be a Preferred Walk-On, he has a scholie with another school and is having trouble turning down money.

DB Yusef Wade - 5'11" 175 4.5 good possibility he will walk on.

WR Ben Renshaw - 6'5" 210 4.5 good possibility he will walk on.

K/P Jason Dann - 6'0" 160, from Texas... VERY GOOD TEXAS KICKER!!!

LB Trevor Roach - 6'3" 225 4.6 Pledged to walk on.

Word around town is that Andy Gdowski, 6'4" 245, will walk on from Grand Island Senior High. His brother Jake is a schollie O-line at Colorado State. Andy will play DL.

Nice summation. Lots of good info there. I do believe that Daniels and Moore are qualification risks. I'm not sure what the rules are, but it seems like in the past the walk-ons who have signed their paperwork in February were already qualified or were for sure qualifiers.

With Hiat and Reed most likely going to Mankato and Hansen probably going to E. Mich it looks like we only have 1 prefered walk-on OL left. That is unusual as it seems we usually have 6 or so in our classes. I guess we'll see if more names emerge. Thanks for the updates GKF.

 
I really like the renewed emphasis on the walk-on program. If we can get a couple of these guys per year to have an impact on the O/D, a couple more get some ST's-time in, and some others provide quality scout-team input it makes a difference.

I especially like Roach, Wade, Uher, and Dann.
